FEES Fund COVID Recovery Enrichment Competition

Covid-19 has had a profound impact upon the lives of children and young people in many ways. Not least, it has curtailed many of the enrichment activities they would normally enjoy. FEES Fund wants to be part of the COVID-19 recovery and has looked at ways in which the charity can provide opportunities for enrichment that will spark children’s imaginations and encourage positivity and creativity.

With this in mind we are running a competition that can be undertaken at home, in school or in an after-school activity setting. The competition will be open to children aged 4 - 11 and will be based around the core values of FEES Fund:

OPPORTUNITY

ASPIRATION

KINDNESS

COMMUNITY

To enter the competition, children will be invited to produce and submit one of the following:

  • A photograph (black & white or colour)

  • A short video clip (5 mins max.)

  • A poem (200 words max.)

  • A story (500 words max.)

Their work should be inspired by one of the following themes, all of which were very important to Fi in whose memory the charity was set up:

  • Looking after the environment

  • Hopes and dreams for the future

  • Friendship and Kindness

  • My community

The competition will run in two age group categories:

1. Age 4 – 7

2. Age 8 – 11

Entries should be attached to an email with a copy of the entry form also attached. The address for emailing entries is: feesfund2019@gmail.com

There will be an overall winner and two runners-up in each category. The winner will receive a £25 gift voucher with a £10 gift voucher for the runners-up. All entrants will receive a FEES Fund certificate to recognise their efforts.

Closing date: Thursday 20th May 2021
